Bitcoin and ether started the week down less than 1%, oscillating about $16,600 and $1,170, respectively, while other cryptocurrencies saw slight gains.
The S&P 500 was down 0.3%, and the Nasdaq 100 was down 0.5%, both in line with losses seen by more traditional stock markets.
The BNB cryptocurrency used on Binance has gained 0.2% during the previous 24 hours. This morning, it agreed to acquire the assets of defunct crypto lender Voyager and the remaining 40% interest in the Indonesian exchange Tokocrypto.
Silvergate’s stock price dropped 3.8%, while Coinbase fell by almost 5%. The stock of MicroStrategy fell by 0.9%.
On Monday, Grayscale announced it was exploring options to return up to 20% of the money in its Grayscale Bitcoin Trust to shareholders if it cannot convert the product into an exchange-traded fund (ETF).
Recent data from The Block’s dashboard shows that Grayscale’s GBTC was trading at a discount of 48.7% on Friday.
The floor price for the new NFT collection by ex-President Donald Trump, released last week with a $99 price tag, was about 0.2593 ETH, or around $290, on Monday morning. On Saturday afternoon, it peaked at 0.839 ETH and has fallen since. There have been a total of 6,492 ETH transacted.
