Internet retailer eBay is looking to fill some Web3 positions related to the KnownOrigin non-fungible token marketplace it purchased in June. Crypto Counsel, Head of Community, and Marketing Executive are among the listed roles.
The LinkedIn offering for this position states that the Crypto Counsel will primarily advise KnownOrigin on its expansion into NFTs and other blockchain technologies and will act as the company’s blueprint. The new attorney will work with tax, IP, and security colleagues to advise the business on compliance issues as it expands its presence in the Web3 space.
KnownOrigin.io is an early Web3 pioneer, an NFT marketplace allowing a new generation of digital artists to express themselves, find an audience, and make a living from their passion, as said by the business in the job posting. “And they’re looking for like-minded enthusiasts to join them in their venture!”
eBay has been actively investing in NFTs over the course of the last few months, despite the market’s bearishness. OneOf, an NFT platform, and the firm released a token set based on the sport of ice hockey in May. EBay partnered with fan engagement platform Notable Live earlier this week to introduce their customers to digital artifacts.
