Following its most recent announcement, Chainlink Labs will launch a program that aims to support and empower early-stage startups in their blockchain business building journey.
This program, called Startup with Chainlink, will provide startup founders and entrepreneurs with free information resources, supportive community groups as well as access to mentorship from leaders in business and technology.
David Post, a Chainlink Labs executive who was one of the key contributors to this program, said that startups will not only have access to scaling information, operations best practices, but they also benefit from attending a wide range of webinars, events and community groups. Top projects with high potentials will also be able to enjoy other benefits such as mentors and venture capitalists. The ultimate goal of this program is to help new blockchain companies survive in the long term.
“Startup with Chainlink helps founders get it right from the beginning so that they can scale their operations sustainably and become long-term players in the ecosystem.”
Starting a crypto business can be good for the blockchain ecosystem, but if it’s not done right, it will give crypto a bad reputation. Moreover, if a founder lacks the necessary skills to lead their company, their employees will eventually choose to leave. For this reason, resources from top leaders in the industry will be extremely helpful.
In addition, Startup with Chainlink will help startups to focus on creating new designs in stead of wasting time and effort reinventing existing ones. “Despite the fact that there is a repeatable blueprint for launching crypto projects, all too often founders try to reinvent the wheel on critical design decisions,” Post said.
He also thinks this program provided by Chainlink Labs will bring about positive impacts on the blockchain community as a whole. He explained that:
“The result is a more interconnected blockchain ecosystem built on sustainable projects with stronger community ties. Individual projects’ stability and strength will help create a lasting Web3 ecosystem that benefits people all around the world.”
In January, The Sandbox also introduced a startup accelerator program with a goal of selecting top 30-40 businesses to invest in every year. The company joined forces with accelerator company Brinc to choose potential projects and offer them an investment as well as access to high-profile mentors.
