A prominent member of the Shiba Inu($SHIB) community has recently tweeted on Twitter under the account “SHIB Informer” to share some inside information about the meeting between members of the Turkish Shiba Inu community and the former Economy Minister of Turkey – Mustafa Elitas.
In their twitter thread, SHIB Informer clarified that while no formal deal was formed between the two parties, the aim of the meeting was to create awareness about the SHIBA, a meme-inspired cryptocurrency’s ecosystem. He added that for the time being, Shiba Iny is not ready to become any country’s official currency. More support and technology will be required before it can officially be launched.
One technology that he mentioned is Shibarium. It is a layer-two network, built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and is created to support the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Shibarium, as he claimed, has been optimized for gaming, and it allows users to make rapid transactions at a low cost. According to the announcement from the Shiba Inu community, Unification is also planning to have a public testnet for the network in the near future.
The informer also stated that he hopes Shiba Inu will become the “most used and useful platform in the world”. He described the meetings with government officials as a chance for “people in positions of power to know how decentralization and the influence of these new kinds of communities can be a positive force in the modern world.” He then concluded by suggesting that they should arrange more meetings with the authority in the future, as well as calling out to other community members for their help in reaching out to the powerful figures.
Shiba Inu has been gaining more and more users over time. Earlier this month, AMC – a leading U.S movie theater chain has recently allowed its customers to use both SHIB and its rival meme-inspired crypto Dogecoin ($DOGE) as a payment method.
